MR. DAN CRAWFORD.
." — 4 r—- ' Mr. J. W. Hinton presided at a meeting of the Ministers' Association and leading Christian workers, coiivened to welcome Mr: Dan Crawford, the African' missionary, at the Y.M.C.A. Rooms yesterday afternoon. Mr. Crawford received a hearty welcome, and in the course of his roply gave an interesting'and characteristic address oh his work in the mission fields of . Central Africa. The missionary was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his address. Mr. Crawford addressed the boys of Wellington College during the lunclieon, and his remarks wero listened to with <>agcr attention. lie appealed to the boys to cultivate, the spirit of. the "truo: sport,", illustrating his remarks by reference to 1113 work among the natives of bis helrtved adopted country. , The-final lecture in Wellington to be delivered by Mr. Crawford will be given in the Town Hall this evening, entitled "Black. Blacker, Blackest; With Knapsack, Camera, and Gun in Central Africa." A meeting will be held in the Grand Opera House this afternoon,at 2.30 for women only, when Mr. Crawford will give a lecture on "The African' Woman." The Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Luke) will preside.
