THE LIQUOR TRADE.
Sir, —With regard to the "Great Moderate Party" that lias entered'the lists to do battle for. the Trade, it is commonly reported that every drunkard all tlie world over orice belonged to this great party,'-meaning that every poor man or woman degraded by drink at one time in their lives only consumed their liquor in moderate quantities. Now,.-Sir,'if..Oils' report is not true, it is gross libel on the party, and I am sure your columns are open to put it right. If it is true, and I for one fail to sco that it is not, then'the only remedy' for this great, evil in our midst is Prohibition, pun^and simple —I am, etc;; ' ■': ' ' ■ . AN EXTREMIST.
