MORE PICTURE THEATRES.
Picture theatres are.still likely to,increase in numbers in Wellington, for last night's report of the By-laws Committee of'the' City Council had reference to two now theatres to bo built. On the recommendation of the committee, tho council decided: "That permission be granted for tho erection of a picture theatre at' Manners "Street, as recommended,, subject to all details be-' ing. settled to the satisfaction of the City Engineer." It was also decided: ' 'That consent bo granted for tho . erection of a picture theatre and concert hall at the corner of Molesworth and Sydney Streets, as recommended, subject to certain details being arranged to the City Engineer's satisfaction, and also subjectst<9''tlie-verandah being suspended from'the building, and not, as proposed, supported by columns on the footpath." -..'.,'
