At tho first hurdle, Celt turned a somersault. Bill Brandon caught tho loader , beforo tho Riverside, whilo Sir Prim and Clontaft wero closing up. At tho Riverside, Bill Brandon was ahead of Bcccassine, who was followed by Sir Prim, Lord Groy, Wisconsin, Arquebuso, and Clontaft, with Obi last. Entering tho straight, tho favourite (Clontaft) camo with a rush, caught Bill Brandon, nnd won easily by fivo lengths, with three-quarters of n length between second and third. Dust Cloud was fourth, i'ime, ornin. 4"scc.

Corrigan, tho owner, decided to call no further evidence, and not to press for tho right to cross-exam-ine absent witnesses. Corrigan autl Adams (trainer) addressed . tho hoard, which, after deliberation in committee, adjourned sine die, pending receipt of further information.
