An inquest was held at Lyttclton this afternoon touching tho death of William Bootland, who was found hanging from a tree over an old quarry on the hilltops near Rapaki yesterday afternoon. Tho Coroner returned a verdict that tho man committed suicido by hanging. PAINTER SERIOUSLY INJURED. Auckland,, July 4. A painter named Frederick Lewis, a married man, was cleaning the outsido walls of the residenco of Mr. A. M. Myers, M.P., when a thin bar across tho window, to which ho was holding, gavo way.
