THE STRANDED KAURI
VESSEL MOVED BY HER OWN STEAM. (By Telesraph.—Frees Association.) V/estport, June 30. The stranded steamer Kauri's leaks have been practically stopped, and tho donkey-boiler is keeping tho steamer dry. The vessel was moved fifty or sixty yards by her own gear last night. iho tugs Mana and Tcrawhiti commence towing about 3 p.m. to-day. Tlie Magisterial inquiry into tho circumstances connected with tho stranding of tho steamer Kauri will bo held at 'Westport next Saturday. Captain G. Smith, Superintendent of Mercantile Marine at Wellington,.and Captain W. J. Grey, formerly of tho Stella, will act as nautical assessors, and will.leave for Westport by the Mapourika to-mor-row.
