REFEREES' ASSOCIATION
Mr. D. M'Konzie presided over, a meeting of the Wellington Rugby Referee' Association, held last night, /Mr.'L. Sievcrsj the association's,'.re;presentativo on the .Wellington Referees' Appointment Board, withdrew, from that body owing to dissatisfactionin inspect to appointments. The, association endorsed 'their action. It was decided that a deputation' consisting of Messrs. Sievers, MlKenzie, and Fordyce be appointed to wait upon the Rugby Union to see J.some satisfactory arrangement could be made'respecting tho appointment of: referees. It was also decided that a special meeting of the association bo called ' for Thursday night next to consider: what action will be taken in the matier.
During the evening the chairman, on behalf of the members and ex-members or thc New Zealand Referees'.Executive, raado a presentation of a travelling rug to Mr. R. M. Isaacs, manager of the New Zealaud team for. Australia.
