He was educated at the Upper Canadian College and tho University, of Toronto (M.A.). He ivas a member of the Canadian Parliament for over, 40 years, and at different times was Minister of Justice, AttorneyGeneral, and President of the Council He was also for a time Prime Minister of Ontario.
