DROP THROUGH BRIDGE SPACE ' OFF A TRAIN. (By T«l«erapn.—Press Association.) • " Auckland, Juno 24. The;naturo of a fatality at Ellorslio on Monday night or yesterday morning, in which the victim was a resident of Wewtou, named. Thomas ■ Heffernan, aged 55 years, was investigated by the Coroner (Mr. E. C' Cutten, 8.W.) this morning. The Coroner found that death was due to shock and haemorrhage.'." Mr. Cutten added that deceased had apparently fallen from , a railway train as it was passing over a bridge from Ellerslie, and then fallen through tho bridge 'to the ground: There was no evidence to show how de'coased came to fall from the train. BODY IN SHEEP-DIP. Masterton, June 24. An inquwt concerning the death , of a man who was found in a sheep-dip on Mr. Larscn's property, at Mauricevillo was opened to-day, and adjourned to permit of a post-mortem examination. The body ha 3 not yet been identified, but deceased is supposed to have eomo from Hawko's Bay.
