ALLIANCE CONGRESS.
Three public functions have been arranged,' in which the public ore urged to take.part:(l) The congress tea at 6 p.m. ' (2)> The mass meeting at 7.45 p.m., both in tho Town Hal] to-day. His Worship the Mayor aiid Mr. Wesley Sprogg, president, are to, be the chairmen'.. , 'Ten. minuto speeches are to be Riven by Dr. Florence Keller, of Auckland,' Messrs. A. S. Malcolm, h. M. lsitt, and J. M'Combs. M.P.'s : H. D. Bedford, and C. H. Poole. Madame Brainsby w'iil sing, "When Wilt Thou Save the People?" and Mr. Charles Cl.irkson, "Arm, Arm, Ye ' Brave." Another feature will be tho singing, led by a choir of over 300 children. A collection -will. be taken up to defray expenses. . The Alliance : ex]oect a large gathering for the third public function, tho "March 1 on' Parliament," on Friday morning next, at 11.30 o'clock. The prpgramme'-of the march will be announced at the Town Hall .to-night.-
