Martin's Junior, by Symington— Scylla, syrs. ....' 8 Last 6eason Aleppo scored twice out of eleycn starts. He was also placed on nine occasions. His wins were in the Royal Stakes, one mile and a quarter, at Newbury, and the Jockey Club Cup, two miles and a quarter, at the Newmarket October Meeting. His placed performances included a third in the same race last season to Prince Palatine and Stedfast, and second in the Goodwood Cup to Catmint (by Spearmint). Willbrook started nine times last season as a two-year-old, and scored twice. Tlis successes were in the Tower Nursery Handicap (six furlongs), at Folkestone, and the Ditch -Mile Nursery Handicap at Newmarket. Earlier in the month Junior scored in the Manchester Cup Handicap, one mile and a half. He is trained by the Australian, E. G. Do Mestrc, and last reason scored four times out of eleven starts. The Ascot Gold Cup. run over a course of.tvco miles { and a half, affords one of tho most (rentvine tests of staying ability, and tho, lists of winners sinco its establishment'in 1807 include the names of some very famous horses.
