It is reported that the Huertan gunboat Guerrero defeated the ' Constitutional gunboat Tampico near Mazatlan. and that tho captain and chief engineer of tho Tampico committed suicide. HUERTA ENRAGED. Vera Cruz, June 17.' British refugees from Mexico City report that Sir Lionel Carden (British Ambassador) advised President Huerta to resign and leave Mexico. Huorta became enraged, and threatened to arrest Sir Lionel Qarden if ho repeated the suggestion. . . • THE SUSPENSION OF VILLA.' Mexico City, June 17. It is reported that Gonoral Villa was exasperated at the appointment of another general to invade Zacatecas, ana refused to assist the general, who was defeated there. General Carranza, thereupon suspended Villa in the command. VILLA AND CARRANZA SETTLE DIFFERENCES. • (Rec, June 18,.9.50 p.m.) Washington, June 18. OfDoial information has been received stating that Villa and Carranza have settled their differences, and that Villa is proceeding against Zccatccas. The Huerta delegation to the Peace Conference has. issued a statement charging the United States with insisting that a Constitutionalist shall be the next Mexican President, instead of a neutral candidate, this being tantamount to aiding and abetting fraud and violence at Presidential elections..
