CYCLIST THROWN INTO A DITCH
b (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmerston North, June 18. A serious accident befell Mr. J. Kirklantl, Into of Duiicclin, on Wednesday night, whou ho was motor-cycling from Ashhnrst to I'almcrston. His lamp suddenly went out when rounding a sharp turn, and he was precipitated into a ditch. Ho was not discovered for some time after, and was found to ho very much shaken, but tho doctor reports that he is progressing r.atisfactorily.
