HOLSTEIN BREEDERS
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. . The annual meeting of the New Zealand Holstein-Fricsian Breeders' Association was held iu the evening. ' Mr. Newton King, of New Plymouth, presided. The annual report stated that the year bad been one of. progress, Fifty-eight'now members hnd been elected, making the total 2GI. There was a bright future iu store for the breed. The chairman spoke in favour of semiofficial herd testing, regarding the institution, of.which ho said that the association had dono its part. In future, medals, etc., would bo given at agricultural shows, and steps in this live would in future be more progressive than had been the case in the past. Officers were elected as follows:— riitron, Mr. J. C. N. Cireig, I.ongbcnch; president, Mr. Newton Kin?, New Plymouth; vice-presidents. Messrs. W. T. T.ovelock. Palnwrslon North, and E. C. Banks. Waikato; treasurer. Mr. .S. T,ijpins, Tokomnru; auditor. Mr. P. L. Sim, Palmerston North. Last years' district committees were re-elected.
