A largely attended meoting of employers of labour on tho Wellington waterfront was held at the rooms of the Employers'" Federation yesterday afternoon. Wharf conditions were considered, and it was decided to affirm tho principle of tho adoption of a scheme to improve tho conditions of work on and about tho wharves. A representative sub-committeo was set up to draft a schemo and report to a further mooting to bo held this afternoon. It was also decided that Mr. W. G. Foster should be asked to accept the position of chairman of all meetings hold in connection with the scheme.
