AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
■ 'i)he monthly meeting of tho council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held last night. Mr. A. Marryatt presided.
Au application for reinstatement was received from Wm. Robert Cox, of Oiiebuiiga, formerly a member of the Auckland Swimming Club. Applicant's two years' disqualification expired on April B.—Reinstatement was granted.
' An application from the Mosgiel Harriers and Athletic Association for affiliation with the Otago Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. .was granted. A request was also made to know'if anything had been dona, in reference to tho trophies won by Kelly at tho time of tho last Australasian Track'. Championships hold in 'New. Zealand.

Cusack and Larkin were appointed to see the Wellineton Centre and representatives of the Port Nicholson Club, with regard to the trophies, and that thoy bo forwarded, if necessary, at the expense of the council. A copy of tho preliminary, communication from tho South African A.A. and Cycling Association to tho Amateur Athletic Union of Australasia, conveying a provisional invitation for a team of Australasian amateur athletes and cyclists to visit South Africa, was received, 'No action.was taken in the
