PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS,
_ Tho following transfers and promotions of Lands and Survey Department officers are announced:—
Mr. W. J. Munro, senior clerk in the Auckland office, .is appointed chief clerk in tho District Lands and Survey office at New Plymouth, vice Mr. C. E; Archibald, transferred .to Dunedin. Mr., Munro is at present secretary to the Kauri Gum Reservo Commission.'
Mr. A. D, A.. Macfa,rlane, Receiver of Land Revenue Vitt''lnvercargill- has "been promoted to bo Chief Clork and Receiver of Land Revenue at Nelson, vice Mr. J. Pollock, retired on superannuation, and Mr. A. W. Duncan, transferred. '.
Mr. A. W. Duncan, Receiver of Land Rexenuo at Nelson, has been promoted to a similar position at Invercargill. Mr. David Smith has been promoted to be senior clork in tho Auckland office, vice Mr. Munro, promoted to Now Plymouth.
