The Duke had fully studied Canadian conditions, and had not spared himself. His Royal Highness was an optimist among a nation of optimists. Sir Wilfrid Laurier (Leader of tho Opposition) joined in the tribute, pointing out that tho Duko had been unswerving in his devotioa to duty at all times.
