FOR PEACE MEDIATORS TO SETTLE THE ELIMINATION OP SENOR HUERTA By TelccraDh-Prem AB3ociaUn D ~Copyrißht' Niagara Falls, Juno 10. A qu6stion has arisen that is likely .to prolong the Peace Conference considerably. The point is as to how tho executive power shall be transferred from Hucrta to a Provisional President The .Mexican delegates wish the new President to take over power us approved by tho Constitution. This means tacit recognition of Huorta. by' tho .American Government, which objects to anything of the kind. It is thought likely that a via media will bo found in tjio mediators' suggestion that the United, 1 States need not recognise anv President iintil the Huertans and Constitutionalists both agree to accept him The peaco plan has already beeii agreed to tentatively. It gives tho Constitutionalists a controlling voice in the now Government. The only obstaclo is the refusal of tho Constitiilionalists to participate in the proposed settlement.
