During the coursc of a political address at Knwakawa to-night Sir Joseph Ward announced that Dr. Buck had been unanimously selected by tho conference of delegates to contest the Bay of Islands seat at tlie next election in the Liberal Party's interests. Sir Joseph Ward addressed a largo and enthusiastic audience to-night, and received an excellent hearing. He spoke on the lines of his former spccchcs and at the, conclusion received a voto of tlianks and confidence. Dr. Buck gavo a short address eulogising the work of tlie Liberals
inueroargiil, Juno in. Mr. L. M. Isitt, M.l\, addressed a large attendnoco at. the Municipal Theatro to-night. Tho Mayor (Mr. Duncan MaoFarlane)' presided. Tho Gpoaker criticised tho Government on tho lines of previous addresses, and received an excellent hearing throughout. At tho conclusion a vote of "thanks to the speaker and confidence in tho Liberal Party was carried.
