■■■. HAVE REGULAR'VISITS'?' ' Major-General', Godley...yesterday expressed himself strongly in favour of regular visits to Now Zealaftd of a senior British general officer of high 'standing.. Ho thought that a great deal of good had resulted from tho visit of Sir lau Hamilton. It was great encouragement to tbo troops, he said, to lie inspected by such a distinguished soldier. Regarding the value of tho office of Inspector-General, he pointed out that great assistance, and encouragement had been gained by himself, personally, and by all his staff, by tho advice, hints and criticisms which they had received from the Inspector-Gen-eral.
