SEARCHING INQUIRIES AFOOT. . (By Tolegraph.— Special Correspondent.) Palmerston N,, June 5. The search for tho missing mail bags which wero lost from tho Taranaki-Pai-roerston train is proceeding, but so far fruitlessly. The Halconibe bag contained £153. In connection with the bag for Turakina claims have beon lodged totalling £50. Inspector i Wilson, from Wanganui, is here and an exhaustive examination of the postal and railway officials has beon made.
