RIFLEMEN ON PARADE
COMPLIMENTED BY GENERAL HAMILTON. Colonel G. C. B. Wolfe, Inspector of Rillo Clubs, has addressed to llifleProsident H. Marshall (chairman of tho New Zealand Rifle Chili's Executive), a letter conveying the information that at tho recent parade of the Wellington Kiflo Clubs at Newto'wn Park for inspection by General Sir lan Hamilton, G.C.8., Inspeetor-Generalof tho Overseas Forces, made soino very encouraging and appreciative remarks regarding tliem. The General was glad to ses the clubs parading, and remarked upon their stamina, physique, and particularly that on tho whole they would bo a useful body of. men. "It affords mo great pleasure, as Inspector of Rifle Clubs," wrote Colonel Wolfe, "to convey this through you to thorn, and I desire, also to compliment them liighly on tho fine epirit. they displayed in turning out n't such short notice, and upon tho creditable manner, considering the little practice they have had, in, which they handled their arms, and performed - tho field movements necessary to tho occasion."
