The Volunteers marched to Celtic Park, where a series of evolutions was-performed with groat alertness and precision. Several speeches wero also delivered. According to tho Dublin "Sunday Independent," the National Volunteers in Ulster total 41,000; Leinster, 42,000; Minister, 27,000; and Connaught, 18,500. Enrolment is. progressing at the rate of 5000 weekly. Two companies have boon formed at Acliill Island, where tho whale of tho drill commands aro given in Gaelic. Mr. T. P. O'Connor (Nationalist M.P.) states that the incidents ?,t Curragh gavo th 9; first impulse to '.'to present Nationalist Volunteer movement. THE BILL, OR ELSE ? BELLIGERENT SPEECH BY A NATIONALIST. , (Reo. Juno 1, 11.45 p.m.) London, June 1. Mr. Thomas Lundon (Nationalist member for Limerick), in a speech to his constituents, said that Mr. John Redmond had sent him to organise the Nationalist volunteers. Ho intended to ask them to help to keep Homo Rule on tho Statute Book, and if they couldn't have peace without excluding Ulster for an indefinite' period, they could bo prepared to act if such a peaco were to bo enforced upou them. When the Tories were returned to office, ho' continued, an attempt would possibly bo made to give Ulster better terms,_ but tlio Nationalists could point to their volunteers, and tell the Tories: You leave tho Bill on tho Statute Book, or else—well, they all knew what the "elso" meant. Whether they had to faco Sir Edward Carson or England, armed, the.y would bo ready.
