MASTERTON NOTES.
At a meeting of tlio Masterton Poultry, Pigeon, and Cage-bird Society, held on Monday evening,, it was reported that Mr. F. B. Brown, Government Poultry Expert, would judge the util-. tty classes ab the forthcoming show. Mr. J. Curry, of Wellington, was appointed judge of the fancy bird classes. At the usual meeting on Monday of the Mastcrton Lodge of Oddfellows, one now member was elected. A report from the Friendly" Societies' Council was brought down- by Bro. P. Smith. At the conclusion of the business a social evening was held, various kindred societies being present. Mr. EdwardPragnell, who has been a resident of Masterton for twentynine years, and lias taken an active interest in fire brigade and friendly society work, is leaving in a few days to reside, at Taumarumii.
