Tu-rnbull and Co., Ltd., .report having held their weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterton) salc.vftvds on Wednesday, May 20, when they ottered, a very small entry owing to trie boisterous weather experienced the last week. There was only fi email attendance, and bidding was rather dull, but the following prices were realised :-Fat wether*. 20*.; woolly lambs, 12e. 9d.; smalt dhorn lambs, 6s. 4d.; old rams, 10e.; fat cows. £6 17s. 6d.; store <-ows, £3 2s. to £3 lfo.; bulls, £o; porkers, 29? Owing to the bad weather a number of advertised lines did not come forward. Competition for sheep 'was keen, good ;ewes especially meeting with a brisk'.sale, though'- lambs were, sllxhtly easier. The demand for cattle was not so good. number Of lines were passed at auction. The following were the nricera realised:—4 .and . 6-toot-h ewes in lamb. 19s; 6d.; 2-t.ooth ditto.
