HEAVY SWEDES
The perfection to which swedes can bo grown nt the Silrorstrcam is demonstrated by some samples that are on view at Messrs. Dalgety and Co.'s offices. There aro thtee swedes weighing respectively 201b., 211b., and' 23i1b., grown from Sutton's "Elephant" seed by Mr. T. liussell, of Silverstreain. Mr.' Russell has a fine crop of swedes in his 30-acre plot, and caloulatcs that ho has sufficient feed for liis sheep until September.
