THE LATE MRS. TOWNEND'S WILL. (Br Telesrajk.—P«3i Association.) ■ Chrlstchurch, May 20. After providing for a number of private legacies, tho lato Annie Townend, relict of Dr. Townend, left tho following amounts to public institutions: — £10,000 for the relief of distressed gentlewomen; £5000 to .the. church property trustees for clergymen with stipends of under £300_ a year; £5000 for tho Cruelty Prevention Society in tho Isle of Man; £5000 for the chief charitable institution in the Isle of Man; £5000 for tlio Christchnrch Society for the Prevention of Cruelty: £4000 for the Hospital : Visitors' Association; £4000 for the Citizens' Benevolent Association; £4000 ; for the Children's Convalescent Cottage at New Brighton; £1000 for the Barnardo Homes; £1000 for the Cashmere Hills Sanatorium,' and lesser amounts for tho. Salvation Army, Horticultural Society, District Nursing Fund, and Prison Gato .Mission.- 1
