BIG JEWEL ROBBERY
AUSTRALIAN "CROOKS" AT CAIRO. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright 1 (Rec. May 19, 10.25 p.m.) Sydney, May 19. In connection with the £10,000 jewel robbery at Cairo, the Superintendent of Polici'is of tho opinion that the perpetrators wore three well-known "crooks" who left Australia recently. ' It was cabled yesterday that the London "Daily Chronicle's" Alexandria correspondent had reported that a gang of Australian burglars were on their wav to England, and that while at Alexandria they bad robbed Rosenfeld, a jeweller, of <£10,000 worth of jewellery and gems.
