Harding, of Auckland (New Zealand), who is studying agricultural methods in Canada, says that tlio tiling which has struck him most in Western Canada is the fanners' indifference to their homes. Theit bams were fine handsome buildings, but their homes Hist plain wooden structures. Mr. Harding has found little to compare with New Zealand in Canadian farming methods, owing to tho long Canadian winter.
