SENTENCE FOR ARSON
(By Telegraph— Association.) Dunedin, May 19. In tho Supreme Court this morning 'Alfred AVilliam Aldred, convicted at Oamaru of arson, was brought up for sentence. . The jury found Aldred guilty. The point was reserved for the Appeal Court as ■to whether he was mentally responsibly for his actions, and the Court confirmod the verdict. Mr. Justice Sim sentenced the prisoner to six months' imprisonment, and ordered him to be afterwards detained for reformatory treatment for a period not exceeding five years. :
