HON. W. FRASER AT FEILDING
DISTRICT NEEDS. The Hoii. W. Frasciy Minister of Public Works, paid a visit to tho Feeding district yesterday. He arrived oy the noon train from Wellington, and was met at tho railway station by Mr. D. H. Guthric, M.1 , ., Mr. A. 31. Otigley (Mayor), Mr. W. F. Bratnwell (act-iii«-|ircsidffiit of tho Chamber of Commerce), and Mr. J. G. Cobbe. After lunch, .the Ministerial party started on a motor tour to Kimbolton arid Apiti, where the Minister was entertained and depiitationised at each centre in regard to tlie proposed branch railway. To-day the Minister will be motored over another part of. tlio Feilding district, accompanied by the member for the district and members of the Chamber of Commerce. On, returning to Feildinq; ho will to the gllest of the Chamber' of Commerce- at 'lunch. Afterwards, three deputations are to wait upon him. Messrs. J. 6. Cobbe and W. F. Bratnwell will. speak in support of tho Kimbolton-Apiti railway, Mi': Fred. Pirani will place beforo the Minister, tlio great, inconvenience, of the -nlteratio'n of mail services at holiday times, and Mr. Hugh Burroll •(chairman of tho Oroiift County Council) will nddress Mr. Fraser on the subject of tho proposed new bridge over the Ran_gitikei River at Onepuhi. The Minister will return to Wellington by tlio New Plymouth mail this evening. • ■
