A demonstration took place at tho funeral at Newport, Wales; .of Mrs. Edith Jordan, who died from poisoning. At tho inquest a verdict of suicide whilst temporarily insane was returned. . Tho ovidence disclosed that Mrs. Jordan Lad a dispute with her husband on the day of her death, and that tho pair had quarrelled frequently on prcuous occasions. Crowds of women and s girls gathered at Jordan's house and jeered >at and hissed the husband as he was following tho hearse. Tho police kept order at tho gravesjde. On returning, tho crowd hooted Jordan and threw 'stones and raud at him.
