Companies of the brigade nro formed in connection with the Church or other Christian organisations, and the boys aro trained largely bv means of military drill and discipline. The total number . nf boys enrolled in the. United Kingdom is 70,000, and their ages vary from twelve to seventeen. The strength of tho brigade throughout the world is 170,000.
