COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the General Committee of tho ivlastcrton A. and P. Association was held in the association's rooms on Saturday. Those present were Messrs. O. C. Cooper (president), E. Harper, W. I'erry, ri. Morrison, \V. H. Buick, W. J. Welch, A. J. Percy, E. ,1. Perry, K. Gray, D. Caselberg, 11. Dagg, W. I). Watson, V. Foreman, D. M'Giregor, 13. llayner, J. Strang, G. Shaw, J. T. Dagg, 0. H. l'erry, G. 0. Summerill, J. C. jJl'Killop, and C. IT. Vallance. It was resolved that a request by Mr. John Dnimmond, or Wellington, lor inclusion in the list of New Zealand judges be referred to tho Judges' Committee of the Agricultural Conterence. A letter was read from Mr. E. Hall, secretary of the Associated Agricultural Socioties of New Zealand, suggesting that the association should affiliate with that body and appoint delegates to a conferenco to be Held in 'Wellington in July. It was decided that this association affiliate, and that Messrs. M'Gregor, Morrison, and M'Killop ha appointed delegates. Tho report .of tho meeting of tho Ground Committee was read. Mr. C. Bannister wroto, expressing regret that he could not undertake tho work of procuring ferns, etc., for planting in tho ground. Tho caretaker, Mr. "F. Ford, wrote, tendering his resignation, which was accepted, and it was decided tiiat applications bo called for the position. The report'of tho meeting of.the Financo Committeo was read, 'fho treasurer reported receipts for the month amounting to £121 Qs. 6d., and expenditure £85 Bs. 3d. A credit balance of £84 17s. Gel. was reported. It was decided' that the joint and several guarantee at tho Bank of Australasia be extinguished, aud that as soon as the credit balance exceeds £200 a. sum bo placed on fixed deposit to form the nucleus of a sinking fund to wipe out tho mortgage on the ground. A vote of thanks was passed to those who had guaranteed the.association's account at the bank. - A report by the Bam Fair-Committee, recommending certain important alterations in tho regulations governing tho conduct of ram fairs, , was read. The principal recommendations wcro that the salo commence at 9.30 a.m. instead of at 10 a.in..: that in any case when a certificate is given in reference to any sheep offered, the sheep be classed as a stud entry, and a stud entry fee charged in respect of the same; that no elieep be entered and catalogued for the fair unless tho bona fide vendor is named; that no rams or ewes for salo hs allowed on the show grounds unless entered for ■tho fair; that no bid "be accepted by the brokers of less than one guinea for stud rams and.quarter of a guinea for flock rams; that no vams be put through the .r'am 'fair ring that arc not for genuine salo. The report was adopted, with a proviso in regard to flock sheep, that if. they, reach fifteen guineas an extra minutb he, allowed for their salo and a stud sheep fee be charged. x
