At ~tlie Newtown School about 300 householders attended. Sir. John Castle, chairman of the' retiring committee, presided. The annual report was read and adopted'. Following wasthe result of the voting for the election of the new committee: —R. Brown, 210; J. Castle, 179; E. Read, 113; A. Crosbv, 137 ; G. Mathews,. 142; Mrs. Wright, 137; Mrs. Webb, 13G; S. Phillips, 127; W. Wills, 102 (elected); W. A. Worth, 83; J Wickliffp, 86; A. R. Ilornblow, 49; A. Stratford, 75; A.. 11. Cooper, 18; G. Barton, 12; W. Murdoch, 2G: J. Heavev, 86i Mr. | J. Castlo was re-elected chairman, and Mr. R. H. Chinchen was reappointed secretary.
