Tho committee having heard that tire Clyde Quay School woro obtaiMnig books from tho Public Library, Mid dissarding their present library, wrote, and askocl that committee- to donate sonio Books of their old library to tho Ngaio School. , They responded by forwarding fifty books. The library "was further added to by the proceeds of a moving picture entertainment arranged for by Miss Barnes, which tho board subsidised by an equal amount. Tiio library now contains 200 books. The matter which will seriously engage tho attention of the.' new committee is the inostion of providing more level playing area for tho aso'of the. scholars. This matter has been under consideration for some months 'back, and the .committee' consider that tho only successful way of dealing with the matter is to level that part of the ground on the north side of the school, and put down tennis courts for tho use of scholars, and for letting when not' iii use by tho school. By this means they would add, to the 'rather small amount allowed by tho board as capitation. The financial position of the committee at present is satisfactory.
