An abridged prospectus of the above company- is published in this issue. The company is being formed lor the purpose of erecting an up-to-date picture theatre and concert hail on tlso corn or of Molosivorth Street and Sydney Street, opposite the Parliamentary grounds. Tho building, of which plans have been prepared by Jfr. James Ronnie, will be of-two-floors., elevation (;3 feet to Molesworth Street, and S3 feet on corner, with provision for a wide balcony,'tiro, shops, and largo commodious refreshment' rooms, which should prove a great convenience to patrons of the theatre and concert hall and to the public generally; . ■

W 18ft.,. with kitchen' -conveniences, ladies' and gentlemen's cloakrooms, sitting-out roams, committee rooms, dressing rooms, etc. The whole of the interior will bo finished, itt decorative plaster fworl-;.

The first floor, with entrance from Sydney Street, is designed as a picture theatre, and will bo one of the most up-to-date yet erected in the Dominion. A wide open court leads to the auditorium, 80ft. by 51ft.; a separate entrance gives access to a largo dress circle. Foyers and landings are a feature in the planning, and the lavatory accommodation is stated to be excellent. A very spacious balcony extends along the frontage of Molesworth Street, with a fine outlook over tho Parliament Grounds. Tlio'tteatre will have Insurious upholstered tip-up scats of the latest- pattern, and will seat about 1000 persons. The building will also contain two shops and a tea-raom, Start, by 26ft. . On the corner of Sydney Street and Mote&worth Street will be a handsome circular tower, 83ft, high, which will bo specially illuminated during tbo evenings. A large stage has been provided, which will facilitate the adoption of all improvements to tlto pieturo business, Tho site of the-theatre is an ideal sue, as the double frontage not only allows the utmost usie to be made of the whole area, but/permits of both entrances-and exits to each street. The advantage of this from the point of vie\y of safety in the- evciri of a fire or panic from any cause is obvious. All other picture theatres in "Wellington 'aits sitsiated south of the "Evening Pest" office, so that-the proposed, building will eater for a very extensive and populous area. It is right on the Molesworth Street and Lamb ton CJnay tramlines. The Karori, Tinnkori Road, Wadestovrn, and Northland trams pijm-'fho door. In addition it will serve' 'Wellington Terrace, the whole of Tftomdo-n, and, the suburbs along the Mannwttu and tfrtirarcipa railway lines.
