ELECTION 7 OF COUNCILLOR.

To fill the vacancy on the Karori Borough Council, caused by tho retirement of Mr. E. 0. Lover, an election was held yesterday, and resulted in the return of Mr. P. G. Jordon. Thero were four candidates, and the polling resulted in Mr. Jordon having a majority of 17 over tho next on the list. Out of 1106 names on the roll only 307 votes were recorded, and the result of tho election was known , at 20 minutes past' 7 o'clock. Tho figures were as folow :— Jordon, 1 , . 0 110 Poll. K.
