MINIATURE RIFLE-SHOOTING.

The third annual ttietmg of- the Wellington Barbour Board MMaturo H.iflo Club was held in X Store, last evening.': Mr. H. 35. Niche-lls, secretary of the board, occupying th* chair. The annual .import and balance-sheet showed a very satisfactory , position. Tho membership has increased, and tho standard of shooting has greatly improved during the list, year. Tho senior Morris-tube team was jiat beaten iu. any. competition. At present. the club holds tho Gas Company's Shield, the blue .riband of Morris-tubo sheeting., In addition, the team won the Wellington Association's teams'. aggregate for that gun. The .club is iiow affiliated with tho English Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs, and is now taking part in competitions for the "Bell" Medal and the "Lord Roberts" medal the following officers wercs elected;— Patron. Mr, R. Fletcher; president, Mr. 11. I?. Nioholls; vice-president, Messrs. J. March-banks, J. 1. Gamble, A. V. H. Monro, Captain Johnston, Mr. C Sylvester, and tho members of the board; elub captain, Mr. T. Wells; viee«ptain,. Mr. A. Williams; secretary, Mr. J. M. Russell; treasurer, Mr. F. W. Reed; auditor, Mr. A. Pavies. Trophies were presented by:—Mr. Marsh-hanks («on by Mr. M'tellan, second Mr. Morris), Mr. Nicholls (Mr. Waters and Mr. Prinee). Mr. Sylvester Waters and Mr. Edwards). Mf, Wells (medal to he fired for this year), and the wharf ofS.ee staff, a shield for departmental competition (won by office team). Other trophies were won by Messrs. Seagar, C. Williams, W. Becker,-W. Imrio s 'W. Heed, F. Bull, and A. Williams.
