HON. F.M.B. FISHER ON TOUR

PROJECTED MOVEMENTS. (Bt Tol«aro-T)h.—Prosa Association.) Chrlstchurcn, April 27. The-'Hon.' F. M. B. Fisher, Minister of Marino and Customs, spent tho morning in town and was occupied chiefly with Departmental affairs. ■ Mr. Fisher journeyed to Kaiapoi and Rangiora in the afternoon. Tho Minister leaves by the first express; for tho south' to-mor-row morning, and whilst at Dunedin ho hopes-to be present at the review of Territorials by General Sir lan Hamilton. Mr. Fisher intends delivering a political address at Winton and Riverton on dates yet to he fixed. He will also probably address meetings at other places 'on his way from Dunedin to Clrristchurch. Ho will reach Ohristchurch in about eight days honce, and will then probably go over to tho West Coast, visiting Holritika, Greymouth, and Westport, and later Takaka, Collingwood, and Havelock. A deputation from tbo Sumner Borough Council waited on the Minister this morning with reforenco to the action of the Lyttelton Harbour Board in shutting down the signal station at Sumner. At tho request of the deputation the interview was private. Tho reporters were subsequently informed that the interview was not concluded, and will be Tesumed when the Minister is in Christchurch eight days hence.
