Lee, chairma.u of tile Welling* ton Education Isoard, and es-Cliicf luspector of Schools, addressed a, gathering of AYairarapa teachers <m Saturday. Although the day was very wet, over 60 teachcrß from all parts were present. Mr. Loo gavo a most interesting resume of his own educational experiences, and concluded tho lecture by heartily supporting many of the reforms for which Now Zealand toaclic-rs were now agitating. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Leo fef.his lecture, with best wishes for an enjoyable trip to the Old Land, Mid a safe return in health and strengtis. At a meeting of the AVairarapa branch of the Tcachurs , Institute, held on Saturday, the president made sympathetic reference to the sad toss sustained by Inspector F. G. Stwekey, M.A., through tlie death of his wife. A motion of sym-: patliy was passed, members standing. ■
