LADIES' ASSOCIATION. ■The annual .la-oetiug of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms oh 0 Wednesday, Mr. A. A. Bennett presiding. • Tho nfcnih annual report and bal-anee-slieot (which, wero adopted) stated that tho last season ha-ej been « successful oiie. Ton teams w«o affiliated to tho association, and altogether 178 players took part in matches. Hefer«wa was made to Wellington's good performance at tho Wanganui tournament liisfc year. The report also congratulated'tho New Zealand Ladies' Asso-ciation-on tlioir enterprise in bringing out an English ladies' team to play in the Dominion. Tho Wellington As- '■ sedation had accepted a. {natch at a Euarantee of. £25. Tho thanks of tho association wer.s> duo lo Mr. Bennett for assis-lanco during the season. Tho balance-sheet showed a deficiency of £4 9s. Id,, which had bean, oaused through the association having uirespeewxlly to board its players at the" Wanganui tournament.
