MONOPLANE DISASTER
HOW THE PARIS COLLISION OCCURRED. By Teiesranh—Press Association—Copyrijbt Paris, April 20., Further particulars concerning tho aeroplane disaster at Paris, wlion two monoplanes at Bile Aorodrome, piloted respectively by M. do Royo and M. Bidot, collided and crashed to the ground, show that while M, do Roye, Bleriot's chief pilot, was leading in tho eliminating competition, M. Bidot, in overtaking him, endeavoured to fly over him, hut misjudged tho distance, as the sun was in his Face. , .. His machine struck tha tail or Do Roye's monoplane and smashed it. Both machines then lurched and fell, one over the other. ! ..,•,' De Royc and d'Albin were pitched on to their "heads and incinerated. Bidot and a passenger wcro extracted from the burning wreckage.
