At the lattor it was decided to oornmernorato tlve Marsden centenary by collecting £1000 this year front ' the Maoris in tlto diocese for the sflpfrart <jf a Maori missionary te the MeliHiesian Islands. TW S'ynod resolved to givo every assistance to organised bodies fighting against tho drink ovil, A resolution w-as passed expressing high appreciation of Breliop Avorili's work. Tho next Synod will bo hold' at Hastings.
