ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CITY CARRIER INJURED. Michael Bowe, a married man, re■sidihg at 20 Wallace Street, was admitted to the Hospital at 6.30 p.m. yesterday suffering: from concussion of tho brain. The injured man is a , carrier by occupation, and he was driving an express near tlie John Street-tip, commonly known as "Jam Tin Gully," when 1 the wheel' sudenly went down a. hole, or rut. The jerk caused/him-tq lose his- seat, and he was : precipitated heavily to the. ground,-with the-above result. ■ UPPER HIJ.TT DISASTER. Wanganul, April 14. John Winters, a fireman on the steamer Putiki, has been missing since Sunday morning.
