FUNDS FOR ELECTION CONTESTS
LEVY BY BRITISH LABOUR PARTY. By Telesraph—Press AEeociation-Copyrielit (Roc. April 14, 9.10 p.m.) ■ London, April 14. The Independent Labour Conference has agreed to a levy of one shilling to provide funds towards the cost of running election candidates. It is stated that there is nothing available in the event of an-early election. Tho. party's Parliamentary record was discussed in camera. It is understood that hot attacks were made on Mr. J. Ramsay MabDbflald "aii'd'Mr.'.-Philip Snowdcn, ■ and that the ■' former" vigorously repudiated a suggestion that tho party had entered into a tacit alliance with the Government.
