GRAND OPERA HOUSE.

'A holiday audience filled the new Grand Opera Houso in every part la3t night, to witness Win. Anderson's American Burlesquo Company in "A Day at tho Races." Tho larco, if such it can bo termed, abounds in humour of tho typically American typo. Tho chief fun-makers are Bert Lo Blanc and Paul !A. Stanhope; their humour is irresistibly funny, and it is hard to imagine what tho company would .bo liko with--out them.. Of music there is tho popular kind and ragtimo in plenty. On Saturday next tho company wiU stage tho musical extravaganza "Tho Grafters," and of which much has already boon heard from Australia. "The Grafters" is said to bo entirely dissimilar from tho present production, nnd is regarded as even more, comical than "A Day at the Races." Thero is said to bo a delightful multiplicity of musical numbers, whilst the comedy is said to bo fresh and plentiful. The ■plans for tho four nights of "The Grafters"' will be opened at the Dresden at' 9.30 o'clock this morning. Tho company will givb a tango tea jnatince oil Saturday next. A feature of this afternoon will bo tho "Evolution of the Tango," which will bo danced by Miss Vera Lindstrom and Mr. James Crosby. Theso two dancors will introduco in addition the Mon Marto and tho Mexican Maxixie tango, which have recently had such voguo in Paris. A decided "innovation to the afternoon will bo tho refreshments and tea served on the 6tago of the Opera House. Tho plans for tho tango tea will bo opened ■to-morrow at 9.30 o'clock.
