o CAILLAUX'S DIVORCED WIFE GIVES EVIDENCE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright • Paris, April 12. , At the inquiry into tho circumstances connected with the murder of M. Gaston Calmetto, late editor of tho "Figaro," by Madamo Caillaiix, wife of tlio French _ex-Minister for Finance, M. Caillaux's first wife (whom he had divorced) denied tho statements made by tho Princess Estradore in her evidence. She said she had not communicated any letters or documents ■ to M. Calmette.
The Princess Mesagne Estradere, a contributor to "Figaro," previously gave evidence that three letters written by M. Caillau.x to Madamo Dupres "were destroyed, but Madame Dupres kept phofograplis of them. When M. Calmetto heard this he offered twenty thousand franca for the photographs, 'which wn9 declined. When the letter signed by "So" was published in tho "Fißaro," Madame Caillaux was justified in supposing that the two others were in M. Calmette's possession.
