■ CONFERENCE AT PAPANUI, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, April 12. 'Ho Easter camp and conference of tho Presbyterian. Young Men's Biblo Class Union opened at the Papanui Domain to-day. It discussed a comprehensive report supplied by the Auckland District Committee on the question of Junior Biblo Class work. It was decided that tho incoming executive be urged to mark tho beginning of another decade of work by a vigorous extension campaign of junior work in tho Presbyterian Sunday schools of the Dominion; that a strong effort be made to commeuco training circles for tho futuro supply of leaders; and tliat stress should bo laid on tho encouragement of ( a vigorous wholesome class spirit by means of team athletics, class camps, reunions, and special records, such as'rolls of honour. , A resolution on the subject of Biblo in Schools was unanimously carried, as follows -.—That this conference, representing a membership of 2327, affirms its adnerenco to the proposals of tho Bible-in-State-Schoo's League. In accordance with tho repeated decision of tho Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, this conference, which is an organisation independent of tho Bible-in-Stato-Scho6ls League, expresses tho opinion that tho request made by the league in tho naino of Presbyterian and other Churches, and endorsed by such a groat nmnbor of individual electors of tho Dominion, should no longer be delayed, and urges upon tho Government tho obtaining of the necessary power from Parliament to enable tho whole peoplo, at tho next general election, to dccido for themselves whether they aro for or against the proposal advocated by tho league." Another iinpo>rtsvb' discussion took placo in connection with a report presented by the executive of tho council, and containing a suggestion that the incoming executive should confer with tho young women's executive, and with a view to devising some- means whereby a Bible class magazine might be published., • ■ After a long discussion it was decided to enter inlo negotiations with the management of tho "Outlook," the official organ of the Presbyterian Church, with the object' of publishing a monthly ilustrated Bible-class supplement.
